What age of car are you looking at Freedo?

On the later 1st Generation cars the SALT Pack was:

Front Foglights
Height-Adjustable Passenger Seat
Interior Light Pack
On-Board Computer
Optional Brilliant Silver Interior Trim
Storage Compartment Pack
Velour Floor Mats

Whereas the PEPPER Pack was all of the above, plus:

15" Alloys
Chrome-Line Exterior
Cooper S Leather Steering Wheel & Gear-Knob

There are a lot of Ones with SALT Pack + Alloys, but these are really obvious as they have black front grilles and black tailgate handles.

Nice one Scrogg thanks! I'm looking for a 2001/2 model. I think i'll go with the Salt pack as I'll will be changing the wheels for some white 17" mcs wheels.

At that age the packs will differ slightly, but the basics are the same.

Slightly off topic.....but dosnt putting 17" S Spokes (very heavy) slow a mini ONE down a hell of a lot? the poor things only have 90bhp standard....

Not 100% sure, just im sure some one told me that even putting the S spokes on a cooper will slow them down and decrease fuel economy. Might be wrong tho. Think it was somthing to do with the un-sprung weight off the car. or somthing like that,

I have put 17" aftermarket Excite wheels on my One (see sig) and though acceleration has suffered slightly (until remap next week ) the ability to corner better means an overall improved driving experience and better consistency for a quicker journey (but you'd expect that going from 175 tyres to 215 ). I say do the wheel upgrade and get the thing remapped if you notice it that much you can get a bluefin 2nd hand for under £50 and £120 to get it recoded for your car...

Bear in mind that the 100mmX4 PCD of the MINI opens up the possiblity of aftermarket wheels that have been used on other marques - for example my wheels were from a guy who have them on an astra and I paid less than 200 notes for a set in excellent condition with nearly new rubber all round....bargains to be had if your cheeky enough to ask for an auction to be ended early or ask about ex-display stock

tbh, i'm trying to move around from tuning etc. currently i have a 106 s1 rallye which is fully stripped out (740kg's) and a 16v engine with around 160bhp = 216bhp/tonne. so i know the mini one will be alot slower but i'm buying the mini for looks etc not for the performance.

Was their an option to have leather interiors in the 'one'?

The factory full leather was, on thew whole, unloved, as it was quite old-fashioned in appearance, so there are very few with that option.

The better seller was the sports seats with part-leather, available in either black/red or all black.
