Would a "cooper s" sports exhaust manifold fit onto a mini 1??

All manifolds i have seen for the MINI are interchangable. The stock manifold on the ONE, cooper and S are the same.

when changing the manifold will i have to buy a new set of gaskets for it??

Yep. They are only a few pence each though. You will nead a manifold to head exhaust gasket (metal and long rectangular sort of shape with exhaust ports in it) and also a catalytic converter to centre pipe gasket (oval shapped and paper/fibre). If you have a milltek etc with a 2/3 part exhaust you may need more. 1 for linkpipe to cat, 1 for linkpipr to back box section..plus the head to manifold gasket

Just had my manifold for my cooper done at lohen they supplied both gaskets
