Offline | Bluefin problems! I got my bluefin in the mail today, but when I tried to plug it in nothing happens. After countless attempts I tried it in another car and it worked just fine. I then tried to dissassemble the obd port, but only ended up braking a lot of my dashboard, so now I have pieces of plastic dangling between the pedals. The only thing that can be wrong is a blown fuse, but the completely useless fuse system in the mini is too much for me to bear right now. Does anyone know which fuse belongs to the obd port? |

Offline | Now I have tried eveyrthing, I have taken almost the entire drivers side dashboard apart, and I have modified the connector to ensure perfect connection. I also found the pinout for the obd port and there is voltage where it is supposed to be. It is totally bizare, when I plug it in to another car it starts up instantly. I think I will have to send the car in to the dealer |

Offline | I bought it from Minisports, but maybe Lohen knows more. I will drop by the dealer and test if their diagnostics tools work with my mini, and I have also emailed Superchips technical support so hopefully they will have some tips. |

Offline | I finally found the problem! It turns out that the fuse for the watch (the one in the roof) is the same as the fuse for the diagnostic port. My watch has only had backlight since I bought the car, I firgured there was something wrong with the watch itself, but it turns out that it was the fuse. So if anyone encounters this problem or has a watch with only backlight and no numbers showing, then check the fuse in the upper lefthand corner of the interior fusebox. After the bluefin the car has totally transformed, I actually think the change in power below 4000 rpm is as big as the change over 4k. The car is much better to drive, and the throttle respone is alot better. |

Offline | Glad you got it sorted! One thing i want to know is will the bluefin unit store my current ecu? My One already seems quite nippy and I have a feeling a previous owner has already had it remapped, but i can't say for sure as it's the only mini i have ever driven! I don't want to get bluefin and wipe out my current map altogether. If I put a new map on can i revert back to my old one and get all the same performance as before? Ta |
