Does anyone know if its possible to get white roof vinyl instead of having it sprayed white? I really want a white roof and bonnet stripes for my red MINI One, but think it would be expensive to get it sprayed. Does anyone have any ideas?

I would also be interested to know but i don't think a vinyl will look as good as a respray?

Its is possible, its called a "Vinyl Wrap", google it and see.

Im not sure on a price tho you will have to find a local company and get a quote.

Edit - its is normally used for business advertising and normally in full colour etc but i guess a plain white sheet will be cheaper as it wont need to be printed, but make sure they use a vinyl that is goin to last, you can get vinyls that will wear after 3, 7, 12 years etc etc or are atleast supposed to last that long...

The better the vinyl the more expensive, but if you are only going to keep the car for 3 year then take it off to sell then that could be an option.

Hmm, I had thought of having viper stripes but can't decide what to do. I also thought I could have just bonnet stripes without a white roof but don't know if that would look rubbish. I just can't decide

Honest opinion? If you have Aero Kit, go for Vipers because they'll look wicked. Personally I don't think they suit non-aero cars (no offence!). A roof vinyl may still be expensive as it may be a long job trying to lay such a large piece of vinyl with no air bubbles. If you have a sunroof it may further complicate things

Personally I'd save up and get it sprayed, or maybe check out some of the other graphics you can get, maybe get the Union Jack (would look good with a red roof).

Speak to MINI Coopers by Mini Mania for this one...

A chequered roof perhaps...? (You could buy just black/white to go with your red, or buy both and have it like the one on the right)

You could also go for the over-extravagent approach

(You'll need a hell of a lot of blue vinyl

)

Thanks for the ideas! I'm thinking of having maybe a white checkered roof with my red showing through, I'm sure i'll decide one day, and when i do, i'll post a picture

If you decide to go for either stripes or a different coloured roof, why not go for silver instead? It would look great on a red car, and let's face it - the red and white thing has been done to death, hasn't it? Hardly distinctive these days, and you'd just end up looking like a common old Cooper.

I paid about £200 max on my respray i got my arches done at the same time and also a spoiler so it was roughly about that, about 400£ overall. I was so close to going down the vinyl route but it looks so much better and it was only about £50 off in the end from my local vinyl/grafix place, paint it you wont be dissapointed.
