| heavy foot = light wallet | That is very expensive on the insurance front! I am 18, have a mini one with s spokes that I have declared. I have had the car about 8 months and been driving for about 14 months and its cost me £880 with ones years ncb (I had a 6 month ncb accelerator with my first car). So I would really shop around because it could save u a lot of money a month! nice car by the way, aero kits on black cars look the muts, I would definitely go for it in 2008! ![]() |

| Pure Silver Batman | Sorry to hear this bud! What exactly happens when the gearbox goes,im assuming there is just nothing going on within the gear linkages etc? Mines is approaching 40,000 soon! Although my mates got a ONE touching 60,000 and aint had no problems...not that I know of anyway! Hopefully you get it all sorted soon...certainly not a good way to start the year ![]() |

Offline | Well I've heard that apparently you hear clunks and rattles, but I heard neither So listen for that for sure. But mine just went *BANG* Clunk...clunk...clunk...clunk until I stopped, and even being in neutral being towed it still did it So I suppose on the car really, some might be different to others - if you spot it apparently it's easier to repair. After it'd been towed I couldn't move the gear stick at all, but straight after it happened it wouldn't go into first, but would second So either way you gotta sort it asap and if it happens, STOP straight away!! I drove about 100 yards which could have made it worse, didn't fully know what it was at the time ![]() But that'd my advice ![]() ![]() |

Offline | Absolutely, particularly with the original costs they quoted in mind. In saying that though, we've had Kia in the past step in an pay entire bills for customers when their car has been up to 12 months out of warranty when gearboxes have gone ![]() www.kaesminiclub.com |
