Offline | I originally got Bridgestone PP S-03 tires for my summer tires in 205/50/16 size for 16x7 rims. Excellent dry and wet, stiff sidewalls for a non runflat and a little on the heavy side, and not good in cold weather and useless in snow, but I have winter tires on 15" rims for that. As the Bridgestone S-03 is no longer made and the originals eventually wore down ... Now have Dunlop SportMaxx in the same size for summer tires. Almost as good in the dry, almost to about as good in the wet, better ride, lower weight and cost, but softer sidewalls with less crisp turn in. Was also thinking about the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 which are probably a little better than the Dunlops, but I didn't like the tread pattern visually myself. |

Offline | yep, they're .37 inches less diameter than the 195/55/16 (1.5% shorter), but actually .11" taller than the 175/65/15s and .19" shorter than the 205/45/17s, so they're in the range of the oem tires offered. 205s will also fit fine on a oem 16x6.5 rim. |

| MINI2 Senior | Hey, I have a 175/65/15 oem Rockey alloys. What other tyres could I fit onto these without affecting road safety and speed readout. ?? ![]() Focus > Mini One > Mini Cooper > Mini Cooper > BMW 316 > BMW 318 > MINI ONE > BMW 120i > MINI ONE PEPPER! - IM BACK!! |

Offline | I fitted 205/55/R15 tyres as MINIAC suggested. Speed readout overestimates speed by about 0.33% more than it did before - so it's effectively the same. * * * * * NeuroBeaker Proud owner of "Zeus" (a 'slightly modified' 2004 Mini ONE). |
