i got a red mini one with a sun roof, i just wondered what price i am looking at to spray the roof black. i seach on here and found price ranging from 170-700 most o which will no bodyshop names or mini dealerships

i would prefer bmw paint shop to do it but if someone can recommend a good body shop in the midlands area it would be much appreciated.

so body shop names and if you've had it price would be amazing.

(ringing stafford knights MINI tomorrow, so sould get an idear what bmw charge)

i was gonna go and get my roof painted black a while ago but i love an all chili red mini!

i was quoted about 400 quid for a black roof

it looks like you have done some work on yours since the last time i saw it on here!

why dont you create your own topic here for your car!

i put the 17" S Spokes on mine!

I had the roof of my MINI ONE done in white before I picked her up. It was £600 (which some people on here think is crazy but I love it and they did a fab job! ) but at the time my dealer had a list with different options. i.e Whole roof, Whole roof and spoiler, Roof with Sunroof, etc all with slightly different prices Its definatly worth asking!

knights mini say 600 for a black roof plus the sunroof can crack when its been taken out, but he also suggested black and white checkers as they have a guy go in a do it.
the checked roof and bonet stripes fited come to £260 going to look into it more but that sounds like my best bet

the guy that quoted me is a good bodyshop guy, he restored my classic mini and does a great job!

Hi, my very first post :-) I have just ordered my new mini one and paid £380 to get roof painted white and wing mirrors. I think this was reasonable. BMW Bavarian in belfast are doing it (my dealer) as soon as it arrives into them next month. - It seems a shame they cant spray the mini one at the factory. Anyway hope this helps and is around the same price you where quoted.

thanks, i would not mind paying that, it could be abit more because of my sun roof having to be removed, going to phone round some other Mini garages, as 680 is abit more than i would be happy to spend.

going to get roof chequered (originally was just going to get roof chequered and not paint roof as i thought the entire roof was a decal and that it wasn't just black stickers they put on a white roof) :-( Anyhow, so getting roof and white bonnet stripes on bonnet as well as spotlights at front, rear spoiler, chrome exterior. Inside rooster red colour line, chrome interior, fluid silver line, rain sensors, parking distance control.

I really wanted sat nav but was too expensive for what was offered so if anyone knows what best sat nav to buy pm me or leave a post. :-)

I paid 150 for supaguard and after reading the forums here think maybe I shouldnt' have :-(

you can cancel the supaguard, it not worth what they charge for it!

i was looking at this aero kit on ebay, they guy says their 100% OEM sprayed at BMW but for basically half the price i find it hard to believe:

Have you thought about covering the whole roof in black vinyl?

Cheaper, no need to remove the sun roof and reversible when you re-sell.

yer but would the whole vinyl bubble in the sun (on the rare occasions we get it), and i dont no it would look as good as a painted one.

Well let me put it this way, I went to see my new Cooper D at the dealers last week, that has a white roof from the factory and I couldnt tell a difference between that and my roof done at their bodyshop

would it be possable to buy black and white squares and create the checkered roof.
i think i could to it as long as its physical possable and how no adverse side effects.
and most of all look good.

I have been quoted £200-250 to spray my Red MINI One with a Pure Silver roof similar to this MINI Cooper S from the USA where it is (or was) available as a factory option. I always thought Red with Silver roof and bonnet stripes looked good on the last 500 classic Rover Mini Coopers and less common than white.
The spray shop also said silver is much harder to spray than white especially on a roof panel......
