Yeh theres a fair flock of expensive cars. Im trying to get a job offshore just now so I can only dream of being like one of those guys at the moment

We usually come up in the firm's Mercedes Sprinter, we're almost unbeaten on that dual carriageway from the Exhibition Centre to the Mill Of Mundurno

This is the current state of things, the car is sitting at the bodyshop after a full respray (touch up of Pure Silver). I also have the headlight rings being painted Gloss Black.

Hoping to get it back on Friday or Monday at the latest, then I will fit the Milltek in which is sitting at the couriers office

Sorry Miniac about non clicky thumbnails, I was in a hurry to go out so just posted links straight from Flickr

No, got it off ebay mate for £45 all in.

I presume it was off a salvaged car

Not too sure Sam, the car has been at the bodyshop since Last Wednesday although I'll give the guy his due...he is very busy at the moment! At first when i saw it, i thought the side skirts etc had been colour coded...doh!

Hopefully have the car either by Friday or Monday, hopefully is the definitive word here

. Im driving a massive van at the moment, can't wait for the mini!

I still am without it

Thats been almost 2 weeks so don't really know whats going on. Although, to be honest I'm happy to wait as I want it to be done right!

Yeah Im thinking that myself...although I was late in taking the car to the shop, and one of their guys is currently away on holiday. They haven't been in touch, or not that I know of. But as I say I'll easy wait till its done right.

Its only a 3 man workshop with alot of cars awaiting to be done. However from the pictures I posted up it seems that all the paint is finished, the only other request I made was for the headlight rings to be painted black.

Im lucky though, I have a few cars in which I can drive whilst mine is away. So not too bad.

P.S anyone heading to British Mini Day @ Himley this weekend?

interesting to see what the headlights will look like, any other de-chroming plans, there are some seriously pimp minis on NAM that have been de-chromed

Good news! Got the car back on Friday

The paint looks the part (imo of course), much better than what I had to live with before lol. Im also liking the headlight rings painted black...looks okay!

I also got some facelift 'scuttle' vents and some halo sidelights wit chrome bulbs. I have changed my mirrors over to the black pair aswell just for a change.

I will post pics soon...once the Milltek has actually been fitted

I might go ahead and do the 'joey mod', but I really fancy painting the chrome inside the rear lights. Just not so sure about taking a dremel to them

I have black out beltine so nothing more really

ok grabbed some quick pics here they are, everything finally fitted

I've put on the standard plastic caps for the moment just for a change, but while Im here I may as well ask. In your opinion what looks better, Red or Black mirror Caps ?

The milltek is ace, not too loud, not too quiet. I just need to wait and give someone a shot of my car so I can hear it from the outside!

The only thing I wish is that the exhaust stuck out a bit more from the bumper, i.e only a quarter of the pipe is showing

. I'll give Lohen a shout, see if they have any tricks up their sleaves
