Help with mini one please

Hi,
Im looking at buying a black mini one (53 plate) thats done 30,000 miles but im wondering of the ways i could maybe tune it up a bit. I have read about the bluefin a little bit and understand thats one way to add bhp but are there other ways? What do induction kits do to help your mini also?
If anyone could help i would appreciate it
Thanks

Hi there! I also have a mini one 52 plate,

I have put the John Cooper Motorsport Induction Kit on mine, not a massive amount of noticable difference in power but sounds the mutts nuts!!! even with a standard exhaust! i know a lad who has a black mini one with a bluefin and he says its the best thing he could of ever done, i havent done mine yet, but its on the list of things to be done when i can afford it.

get some pics up and lotsa people will post ideas on ways u can mod, but be wary of gettin addicted to modding, its a downwards slope, and gets expensive but rlly addictive!!!!

Good luck

You might want to see how much the insurance is on a modified Mini One (Bluefin, induction kit, exhaust say) compared with a standard Cooper

Thanks very much guys,
Ill try and keep on top of spending on my car.lol. I'll also look into the OMP as it sounds interesting. Isn't the handling already amazing on the mini though?I have a friend with a suzuki swift sport and thats beautiful to drive, almost like a go kart.
Has anyone heard of a big boar kit?as someone told me about it but have no idea?
Whats the sound system like in the mini?
Thanks

Yeah i agree about it sounding boy racery. I dont want to do too much as cant afford for my insurance to go up. Would adding an OMP put my insurance up?Also do you have to declare your bluefin on insurance?
Thanks

That too, you'll have to declare it, it IS considered a performance improving mod.

Best bet rlly is to declare everything u have, otheriwse if you do have an accident, they'll just say that the car they insured doesnt match with the spec on the car involved in the accident!!
