Hi guys. Just been wondering recently where abouts the rev limiter ACTUALLY kicks in on our cars and bounces off at the end? I've taken mine up to I'd say between 6-6.5k revs and it still hasn't bounced!!

6750 rpm I believe

There's no harm in finding out for sure though. Just ensure your engine is nicely warmed up, then give it the beans in 2nd on a piece of national speed limit road.

I bounced my old Cooper off the limiter frequently

- and have done in the S on more than one occasion too

After the gearbox palava in January have been hesitant to find out to be honest
