Ireland Anthracite with SALT???

My dealer just called to say that my new Mini One is in (my second). I ordered the SALT pack but the car has an anthracite interior, which I just don't like. The official website says clearly that the One comes with silver interior. Has anyone else been fed this line?

I have had several problems with this dealer - the new car is a replacement for a defunct 2002 car. I want to make sure I'm getting what I paid for!

Responses appreciated!

This is all very confusing and has been discussed before.

Although silver is stated in places as being part of the SALT pack it's actually a no cost option if you order the SALT pack. So I believe you have to actually put that on the order.

Your dealer should have known this - better than anyone obviously

If you really don't like it then I'd ask them to replace the parts if possible. If that's not possible consider asking them for some sweeteners

Yep, Its happened before, many times........

I'd agree with Ken, and the upside is that Anthracite is far harder wearing than the Salt Pack.

This happened to me....see some other threads on this.

I actually preferred the anthracite when i saw it in the flesh and as AidenL says its certainly more hard wearing. However, I didn't tell my dealer this and managed to get quite a bit of stuff out of them for the 'inconvenience'....

Black ONE - Salt Pack, Boost, CD Changer, ASC&T, 8 Spokes, Alarm and Glovebox

Arrived 16/10/02 and I love it

Driving lights, aero spoiler and some chrome bits to follow...

Thanks for the quick answers...

If I have to take it (+sweeteners... ) what's your opinions on it? I think the car seems very dark as a result. I suppose I ought to take it for a spin and see.

Aiden, remember the first time I talked with you about this car??! It's taken this long!

Thanks!

I saw both colours on cars when I was placing my order. I preferred silver as it does brighten up the interior. Loads of people prefer anthracite though so if I were you and go inspect it and make up your own mind.

Even if you decide you like it tell the dealer you're not happy though and try and get something out of them. Aim high for something like a cd changer or driving lamps.

When is Mizen to Malin happening? I haven't been paying attention!!

Purple56, what did you squeeze out of them?? I was thinking of doing a swap on the alloys for the "inconvenience" - I have the standard 7 hole Cooper alloys but fancy the 16" 5 spokes. Roads in Cork won't tolerate anything bigger

Will keep you updated - thanks again all!

I think it depends what colour MINI u have, the silver looks better with sliver, black, Dark silver, Blue, but i think the anthracite looks better with the others.
