Offline | There all nice It's all personal preference - all mini colours look nice. If you choose Solid Black, be sure to choose Chrome exterior & Mirrors, as that looks stunning. I chose Pure Silver & that was only because my previous cars had been black & I found them a pain to keep clean!! If you are going for the chrome then choose solid black or metalic black. Personally I would choose the 8 spokes. Another tip: - if you do choose black, make sure you get air conditioning otherwise you will wilt in the summer. |

Offline | I think the 8-spoke wheels look more 'traditional' and 'classic mini'-esque, although it does depend on what sort of look you're after. The black and chrome work very well together as well! MINI Going.....Toyota Supra RZ-S Twin Turbo Coming....Standing Quarter, anyone....? |

Offline | I prefer the 7 hole alloys. Colour? lets face it, you have to own at least one Black car in your life, make it the MINI . A lot of work but its well worth it.Was a 1, now 1 of 150 in a 40 |

Offline | But so a Winding the windows down is great (I do all the time! ) when you are flying along at 60 plus but just try it on a hot day in a traffic jam! Believe me aircon is great (once you've got you can't live without out) and come resale time you will really be glad you spent that £600 because your car will be worth more than one without and it'll be easier to shift. I only wish I went for the auto aircon like my Civic's got.Oh (IMHO) by the way Silver is great! but then so are most of the MINI colours. (8 spokes as well!) |

Offline | Silver or black - a tough choice. I've got silver but would be happy with black. Sorry no help from me there then I prefer the 8 spokes as they seem to make the wheels look bigger than the 7 holes. I've not got aircon and don't miss it. It never really gets warm enough up here. For me to spend £600 on something I would hardly use didn't seem worth it. Red/Black R56 Cooper |

Offline | Went for the 8 spoke as I thought that the 7s would be more difficult to keep clean. Think that the Fiat or Alpha offer the same type of 7 hole. morrisminiminor |

Offline | Firstly I have to say black is a wicked colour... (my mini is solid black). I think cosmos black looks a bit dusty and would rather spend the £250 saved on a metallic colour somewhere else on the car. Have a look at my gallery for a before and after of the front with the chrome grille (I have chrome mirrors on order and should pick them up tonight... I'll try to put a pic on in the evening.I went for the 8 spokes... as KenL always says they seem a bit bigger that the 7 holes.See the thread called ' Black is the colour'. Finally I don't have air-con.. I went for the sunroof... I'm always comfortable in the car and even if I melted to a puddle because of a lack of air-con it would be worth it for the comfort opening Jonathan ![]() |

Offline | I saw the metallic / Cosmos Black and preferred the flat black - saving yourself money that way, you can put it towards the sunroof or manual aircon - those were my thoughts anyway. You won't sorely regret not having the aircon, I wouldn't have said, but I would advise either the sunroof or the aircon as it will get hot in there - as someone has quite rightly pointed out! Offline | save the money from airconditioning or sunroof and spend it on 17's It is hardly ever hot enough in the UK to need AC and it rains so much the sunroof will be closed most of the time. 'enry |
