| Peoples Republic Of Cork | I get 37 to 40 mpg from my ONE with 46000 miles ,it has AMD 'One Click' and A/C which is on all the time ,it has been returning this figure from when I got the car and on an 'economy run' last year I got 62.5 MPG ( very difficult ) Gerard |

Offline | 23-26 MPG on country lanes. It's about to have a service and it's drinking oil so the fuel consumption had gone down too. Best I ever got was 31 MPG on the M5 coming back from a holiday and the worst is 19MPG, the result of some early morning fun. |

Offline | 37-39MPG which i think is quite good 'cause i dont drive slow but do try not to waste fuel either - as Clarkson said turn off all the unecessary electrical stuff - ac, rear window heater etc, close windows, no roofracks or xs weight, keep below 2,000rpm if poss and dont believe the trip computer (esp on an Audi) |

Offline | I don't understand why anyone feels the need to compete. Mini weighs 1175kg, Saxo weighs 935kg. Mini One has 90BHP. Saxo VTR has 100BHP. So the MINI has less power and more weight. It happens to have worse fuel economy and is markedly slower. It's not going to win a "Traffic Light Grand Prix". It's still a nicer car tho. There's no comparison on build or image. Similar handling. I'd take the Mini every time, but try and open your mind a bit dude ![]() Edited to add - this is not intended as an inflammatory post - please do not take it as such. 54 Plate All Black Cooper S with Chilli, BoostCD, MFSW, Heated bits.http://www.evoposters.net/carsb/album43 Last edited by MukiMunki : Jun 16th, 2004 at 08:05 AM. |
