Offline | I've finally done it! Hello all! Am new to this forum as I ordered my mini one only yesterday (and its not taken me long to hunt down this forum, I blame my friend who has also posted here!) So, if money was no object I would have got loads more extras than this, but as it is, here's my spec. Would appreciate your thoughts, but please bear in mind too much persuasion may mean me cancelling the satellite TV subscription and to justify any more extras! Mini One British Racing Green Interior - cloth black & silver/anthracite Single MD player Manual air con Salt package |

| MINI2 Master | Re: I've finally done it! Nice One, and welcome to the forum. I like the fact that you said you would have got more extras if money was no object, rather than saying you would have got a Cooper S or something. I like your thinking. I think you've got a good spec there without going overboard. I take it you bought the TLC package as well. If not, get it now. I notice that, like me, you didn't get the alloy wheels. I intend to retro-fit some to my car sometime, but I'm in no hurry and it's not like I drive around with a paper bag over my head lest somebody recognises me in a car without alloys. |

| MINI2 Master | Charles, I was about to write out the contents of the Salt pack, but then I thought that the UK website would be the best source of information. http://www.mini.co.uk/UK/en/specs/optional_packages.jsp Hope this helps |

Offline | Pauline, don't worry about your dad, he gave me some good advice on Sunday - I'll be demanding that anthracite rev counter as soon as the mini man phones me back tomorrow! But if i'm now to go for the chrome bumpers, sports seats and leather steering wheel, i think i'm going to have to sell my own granny. ~runs off to Grannymart for a quote~ ![]() |

Offline | The two spoke leather steering wheel was my of my best moves when I ordered the car - didnt realise it would make such a difference but it feels so much better than plastic and looks funky as well. |

Offline | Hi Claire and welcome Just had a look at the spec. of our MINI ONE when we ordered and without doubt the best option we chose were the sports seats (£170.00) they're more comfortable than the standard seats and come with the Kaleido cloth (same as cooper) but to be honest your choice of options look excellant, sensible without adding too much to the overall cost of the vehicle. You won't be disappointed. Regards Crunchie P.S. Do they do an Anthracite rev counter? |

Offline | Well not as standard apparently, but one of the handy tips I was given, was to ask them to spray the rim anthracite to match the dashboard, otherwise it will come in silver and might look out of place - I actually quite like it in anthracite. |

Offline | Claire, you're at "the beginning of a great adventure," if Lou Reed got it right. My wife nearly talked me into the Cooper, just to get the silver grille & the Pepper White exterior. I think your build is smart in design & clever in function, - all that's most important! Like, air?! =>You gotta! Pitting-out sucks! Things like "Rain Sensing Wipers" -- No need. If you can't sense that it's raining, - I'm not sure you should be driving. ![]() *Claire, do you think most MINI dealers are readily able to paint Rev Counters? If so, I'd love to know. We have a silver tach (rev counter) with an anthrocite interior. I didn't notice, firstly. But my wife, did. [She's often sharper! ]I'm stateside, but I'd still love to know how they do the painting for you, if you don't mind. Welcome. ![]() Last edited by SugarBelly : Jun 4th, 2003 at 09:33 PM. |

Offline | We bought ours as an ex demo so didn't have a choice as to options but I'm quite happy with the way it was spec'd even now. However, two things I'd consider getting would be ASC/T (just to get the extra toggle and I beleive it's a cheap otion from the factory) and the leather steering wheel (I daren't try driving with a leather wheel else I know I'll just have to have it and I can't bring myself to check out what I expect to be a huge price for a retrofit).Otherwise, welcome to the club (and don't forget to flash & wave) Andy ![]() Penfold, WAS a Chili Red One Salt, 8 spokes, CD changer, Manual A/C, Alarm, Mudflaps, Clear lights, Chrome pipe, OBC, Aero spoiler, '03 Leather wheel, Aux lights, Whalen shifter..... |

| Loud and Proud | You don't understand. I NEED one!!!! Ok, it's only a steering wheel. I just found it was nicer to grip, and felt a bit more classy.
