Offline | My wallet is much happier already The scooby is an expenive car to run - fuel, insurance, short service intervals, etc., plus we have another family sized car so we thought we'd get a ONE to go with the 4 classic mini's we have. From the test drive the mini handles very well compared to the scooby. The grin factor is there, which is the main thing for me. With AWD the scooby was very good in the rain and snow and I thought about the performance difference, but I have a classic mini with tuned engine producing around 130bhp at the wheels and the hooligan in me enjoys the odd track day with that car. |

Offline | Bugger Knew things were going too well. The buyer collected the scooby no problems (that was a sad day) but we were cheered by the thought of a new mini and, having just got planning permission, a nice new garage. We have a fair amount of money to build the garage, but the builders quotes have (amazingly) come in at exactly the amount we have plus what we got for the scooby. We really need the garage, so new mini will have to wait until the spring next year. Ho hum ![]() |

Offline | Change of plan (again). Hassled the builder, rejigged the finances and I think we can do both I'm going to do my damndest to get a deal on the mini as well. On Saturday we're going for another test drive in a One, and were going to try a diesel. |
