Offline | You dealer will be able to get them for you as a replacement part. Or most of the aftermarket people in our sponsor directory should be able to help. There aint no party like my nana's tea party |

| I'm a world record holder | Go to halfords and pic up a fine sanding block along with a can of plastic primer and a can of white spray paint (I chose the fiat white as it look about right!) Take off the wing mirror covers by starting at the top closest to the car and pulling back. You will think that you are breaking them and you have to pull very hard! There are small clips inside and you my find that you snap one or two but thats fine. Sand the black ones down with the sanding block. Then use the sanding block wet to get a smoother surface. Get some cotton thread and make a long loop and thread it though one of the remaing clips on the inside. You can then use this to hang your wind mirror covers up while they dry! Get a plastic shopping bag and put your left hand (use your right hand if you are left handed) inside and up your arm and grab one of the sticky out bits inside. Shake the primer well and apply 8/9 ish thin coats of primer. You will think that this is taking ages... believe me, a good quality primer coat will make them look so much better. Carry on priming them untill they are white with no hint of black. Spay with the white top coat. again lots of thinner layers are better than think ones. If you smudge at any stage, sand the area back and re-spray. When dry, clip back onto the car and pray that no-one with black wing mirrors clips them within a week (as mine did on both sides! arg!) They will be indistinguashable from the factory ones and a hell of a lot cheeper, time consuming, but you know that you have done it and saves loads of wonga! If you want a look at the results then have a check on my gallery. Hope that helps! Andrea aka 'Branston' Part of the 269 long world recording breaking convoy of Minis - March 2007 |
