Offline | cooper s wheels and springs on a one New to the site, so apologies if this question has come up and been answered before. I have a mini one with std alloys, can I put stock Cooper S wheels and Cooper S springs on? What effect would this have on the car Good or Bad? |

| MINI2 Master | There shouldn't be any problem at all fitting the Cooper S wheels, but I'd go for the 16" X lites opposed to the 17" wheels (as the 16"s handle better). Regarding the springs, why not purchase some A C Schnitzer springs for your One? They are BMW approved, will drop the car 45mm, and would be better than the S springs imho! The A C Schnitzer springs are available through all BMW dealers. ![]() Lotus Elise SC - Collecting 1st April |

Offline | Thanks for that. The reason I was looking at the Cooper S springs, is that a friend has had his Cooper S to birds for the hartge conversion and the wheels and springs are available. I find the Mini One ride a bit bouncey, would the wheels and springs cure this? |

| MINI2 Master | I'd say they probably would, but I'm quite sure that the Sports Suspension Plus you get on a Cooper S is not just different springs, the whole system is different (I might be wrong though). The S springs should be stiffer and the wheels will be firmer (if they are bigger than your current wheels). Lotus Elise SC - Collecting 1st April |

Offline | If you put the S springs on yours apart from lowering it it will make the car a lot firmer and more crashey over bumps tho it will handle better. The wheels, what size are they?? most likely 17's if so this will alter the handling of your car and make the ride even more crashey tho it will look smart. It wouldn't bother me but it may be a bit of a shock for you going from std to S setup so it may be best if u go take a ride in an S with 17's on. Hope that helped and good luck!! ![]() |
