Good deal on Cherished Mini One?

I have just bought Henry from Mini Cherished. (5 months old, 4000 miles).

As you do, I was CRAWLING around the car trying to find fault with it, but absolutely couldn't - not a mark or blemish anywhere, not even on the 8 spoke alloys or under the bonnet! I was just about to give up trying when for some strange reason I looked at the rear screen and found a diamond star chip on the black piece at the left side... I reached out and touched it and was amazed to find that it was on the inside!!! Even curiouser, when I opened the boot, the chip was BEHIND the metal frame. The dealer replaced it under warranty, saying that it was caused by a heated window fault; has this happened to anyone else?

BTW I don't really know what used prices are like generally but the sticker price was only £500 off the price of a similarly specified new car..... you wouldn't get that for a nearly new Focus (more like £3k less!!!!).... Was I done??? The dealer said that at one point they were selling demonstrators for ABOVE list True or False ???

Anyway to cut a long story short, I eventually managed to knock the dealer down £300 more and get a full tank of fuel and 6 months tax.... please tell me they didn't see me coming!!!

Mint condition, run in, £800 off, no waiting - isn't that what everybody wants ?

If you're absolutely delighted with your new Christmas prezzie to yourself, then I'd say you've got a pretty good deal. Hope you got the TLC though - most important.

Go out and enjoy.
