What is the cheapest option for replacing tyres?

After 9000 miles my One needs its front tyres replacing (standard tyres for 15 inch alloys.) What would be the best thing to do?

1) Go to a tyre replacement place (quickfit) to get the fronts replaced by a different brand?

2) Get replacements from the dealer ie same model as worn tyre and see if they can arrange fitting?

3) Get replacements from dealer and take them to quickfit to be fitted?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Oh and a very happy new year to you all!

Tom

Or you could try an independent tyre specialist? They can in cases be cheaper than the Quickfits of this world.

As a guide, a pair of 15" Pirelli 3000s for my One were about £117 a year ago from an independent that was recommended by my dealer (as they don't fit tyres, except if arranged in advance).

i would never ever use quickfit or the likes.

go independant or try www.mytyres.co.uk or www.blackcircles.com and get them fitted at an independant. just bought 4 toyo proxies 195/55/15 for £32 each including p&p then £20 to get them fitted locally. the local place said that he would of sold the tyres for £35 at the most depending on which make as well.

Tyres have never been cheaper. Branded tyre prices have fallen too. I always call KwikFit or ATS just to get an idea of full retail and then buy from Elite. Just before Christmas I replaced the tyres on my Mums A-Class (195/50/15 Goodyear Eagle F1). Kwik Fit wanted £87 per tyre fitted and ATS wanted £92. I had them fitted at an independent for £38 each plus £7 fitting/balancing per wheel.
