Dealer or private Bob?

Would have cost ~£11.7k new

Think dealer would ask about £10750, £10250 or so would be a fair private price.

Why you ask?

Red/Black R56 Cooper Stripes, CHILLI, ASC+T, MINI HiFi, Piano Black Dash, Red Colour Line, Heated Mirrors/Jets, Spare Wheel, Smoker Pack!
Mods - Cooper S pedals, Cheqered interior mirror, chrome side repeaters

Anyone selling for that price must be desperate for cash, either that or stoopid

Sounds really, really cheap...............did you have it checked out, inspected, finance background check, etc?

A dealer would give more than that for it in the trade?.............

dealers are now bidding extremely low prices apparently mini's are starting to be seen at trade auctions prices are always based on "supply and demand" , I was bid on a 53 plate mini 1 which cost £13,750 when the car had done less than 1000 miles £11,500 by the supplying dealer, not a good atart to mini ownership, hasn't put me off tho I love it

Nope not desperate etc

Well we brought it anyway -
Nice clean car, No niggles apart from the steering rack which was replaced, early in its life. Looks like MINI prices are now beginning to dip, or perhaps we was lucky with this ONE.

Yeah, the owner had offers for more from the trade, but preferred to sell it private to a MINI lover!

Believe you to be lucky Bob. I tentatively spoke to a dealer 2/3 months ago. They would have given me £9.25k-ish for mine as a trade in on a new MINI. My car is similar except doesn't have AC but has metallic paint so would have expected about £250 more as a trade in for one with AC, so about £9.5k as a trade in.

Does that mean your S is going again

Nah, the S is staying, we have just brought this as a company runarround!!! - The Red ONE is a little gem and has been lovingly looked after by one lady owner. She's leaving the counrty and needed a quick sale, as you can see we were happy to oblige!!

That is a good deal. In Novemeber I was offered £10500 for my One by Rydale MINI. So your £8.8k is a good deal. (Has he got a MCS for sale too !!!!!!!!).
