Offline | Viper stripes I have changed the spec of my mini 1, added viper stripes. They are costing £300 ... £95 for the stripes, the rest is fitting. This is being done by the dealer. Anyone manage to get theirs cheaper? Is this a lot? Little Blue One |

| MINI2 Senior | Hi there, Are you having the stripes over the whole car? I had front vipers done (check gallery for pics) they were £75+VAT done by a company called Alpha Graphics who are based in Liss. The dealer (Barons of Hindhead) arranged the fitting. Offline | Viper stripes Tracy, just to say that i'm also getting viper stripes fitted by my dealer. They're being fitted post-delivery and i'm being charged £140 (£95 BMW price+fitting) - I dont understand why your dealer is asking almost twice the price of mine when they're both BMW dealers....? mgemie 2004 IB/IB MINI |

Offline | I got my stripes from carvouge for £35 and they cost £15 to fit by a local sign\Graphics compay. £300 is a hell of a lot of money, top choice on the viper stripes though ![]() SOLD |

| Loud and Proud | Dealer charges depend on location - the closer to a big city or town the higher the labour charges will be due to bigger overheads etc..... I had bonnet stripes fitted by my dealer (Barons of Hindhead) at a cost of £100 - £20 (ish) for the stripes and the rest was labour. £300 is a bit too much. If you want it done by BMW then try another dealer, you should be able to get it for less than that. Or go to a local sign printing company - will probably do it for less than £100 all in. 2001 MINI One, Chilli Red, 130 BHP, Big Grin! ![]() 2003 MINI Cooper S, Chilli Red, 163BHP, Even Bigger Grin! |

Offline | You are absolutely right on the cost ... has put me right off . Sticking with solid Indi Blue for now and see what I feel like later on, when I've got time to have a good look at other options other than the dealers. I'm really glad I decided against them, feels like I was being ripped off big time. When I originally chose my spec I was not told the fitting cost for the stripes (£95) would be £200!!!! Thanks for replying. Little Blue One |

Offline | Thanks for the tips you lot . I have decided to stick with my original spec. I really like the viper stripes but will look at adding these at a later date ... not from the dealer! ![]() Little Blue One |

Offline | Yea they are dealer fitted they did a good job, I was warned not to go to automated machine operated washers as the vinel can tend to peel. I havent had this problem yet I just do it myself anyways saves money. ![]() |

Offline | Maybe you could get the checkered stripes fitted in a viper style? If BMW wont offer such a design them try one of the many custom sign places that do bits for cars. Silver and black checkered? 2004 IB/IB MINI |

Offline | You can get "frost" viper stripes that look great on a pure silver car from www.CooperFlags.com. Check their online site for pics or my personal gallery for pics of PS/PS with "frost" stripes. Approx. cost of $99 USD for boot and bonnet package. Cheers!
