No idea about the performance but for ease of use the Oneclick seems pretty clever.

I cannot comment on Oneclick but can highly recommend Superchip Phase 2.

I would suggest that you visit the Superchip web site and look up MINI- they have a
couple of graphs for both the Phase 1 & 2 against both the ONE and COOPER.

The phase 2 is not cheap but quality never is- the difference in the way that the engine
runs is quite amazing providing both more torque low down and smoother higher revs.

I would also suggest that you read the test on Superchips under the products review.

I personally can't see the point in getting the phase one on a MINI ONE. If you are prepared to take the risk in a superchip of any sort then you might aswell get the more powerful of the two, and its more value for money.

what do you mean 25bhp down? isnt it an increase of bhp when getting chipped?

anyway, I’d probably get the stage 2. would I have to inform my insurance dudes? They'd probably want more cash...to fund the valentine disco

where's the best place to get a MINI chipped?

I think what redun means is stage 1 superchip would be about 20-25bhp down on a stage 2 superchip. Insurance would want more money but alot of people don't tell them - the logic is if BMW can't find it then what are the chances the insurance company will. Still, its your decision but you might not wanna tell BMW as they might cut chunks of your garentee

This was traced to a BMW problem...

BMW have issues with an ECU upgrade on 2002 and 2002 models. It's not being fixed as a recall but is being done when the vehicle goes in for service.

Basically the ECU reports an oil starvation problem prematurely and puts the car into limp mode. Once the dealer upgrades the ECU it is fine.

This ONLY affects the Mini ONE

Best wishes,

Ram

I know when I was looking at a Superchip that they offered warranty that would cover everything that would be voided on the manufacturers warranty by fitting a chip. Does the One-Click offer something similar?

Talking

I've a Superchip contact here in the US...

Phone them up and ask them what happens to your performance software when you get your ECU upgraded by BMW!

DIY 02 ECU reflashed

Hi folks, a quick update on THE OneClickOne situ:

A car was into dealers for it's TLC fluid change, usual squeaks, rattles etc and mentioned to them about the ECU/EML cut out (std map of course) others have experienced ....

after 3 days; only O/S NOT both window regulators replaced BUT THEY DID COMPLETELY UPFLASH THE ECU VERSION (in all areas) ... as the paperwork admits to finding an air sensor error ... theyre still not admitting certain date cars have an issue but it's really beginning to seem they should - if concerned a;; we can do is go hassle your dealer/contact MINI

AMD UK / CoolNew have been great and AmD are going to reprog the OneClick - Superchip, wonder what their response to wanting it re-programmed would have been ..... ?

am hoping it'll be sorted for 7th March NW Run http://www.mini2.com/forum/showthread.php?t=50667

by the way, the ASC&T wiring had worn and shorted against a bracket as well !! (will be getting the N/S window and the rust on the driving lights done at next visit)
