Offline | Spoiler I'm considering having my local MINI dealer fit a spoiler to my ONE, however, i have a question for you dudes first. Whats better on a ONE - the standard ONE spoiler or the CS spoiler? Has anyone got pictures of a) a Mini One with a One spoiler and b) a Mini One with Cooper S spoiler? is there also a third spolier design? A cooper spoiler? and is it still possible for my dealer to fit a non-One spoiler to my One? I suppose its specific to dealer... 2004 IB/IB MINI |

Offline | In my opinion, the Cooper S spoiler is nicer simply because it's a little bit bigger, but I still like the standard One/Cooper spoiler. I think that you may have trouble getting them to fit you a Cooper S spoiler anyway as most dealers don't like fitting 'S' parts to a One or Cooper. I had a lot of trouble with my spoiler. I wanted it factory fitted, but my dealer messed me around and suddenly it was too late to change the spec. as the car was in production. Reluctantly, they agreed to fit it at the dealership when they received the car for the same price as it would cost to have it factory fitted. I don't know what spoiler it is though. It's not the standard One/Cooper spoiler, nor is it an 'S' spoiler. However, I really like it! It's like the 'S' spoiler except the whole of it joins to the car, rather than just left and right-hand edges, if you know what I mean! Pictures will be coming soon anyway... ![]() |

Offline | Maybe it could be the Aero-kit spoiler? I've seen a few pictures of MINIs with a spolier that matches your description and i 'think' (but dont quote me on this ) that it was a spoiler from the aero-kit....2004 IB/IB MINI |

Offline | Yeh I thought it could be. The only reason I've got it is because when they got my car in at the dealership, they didn't have a spoiler in stock. After getting very annoyed at them, they got one shipped down from Oxford! I hope it is the Aero spoiler... Anyway sorry to hi-jack the post! What I'd say is speak to the dealer and see what they'll do for you. If you really want the Cooper S spoiler and the dealer won't do it, see if you can buy it from the parts department pre-sprayed (try and get the part number beforehand) and fit it yourself. The OEM fitting guide is available here. |

Offline | Hi Guys, I have the cooper S spoiler on my ONE. I bought it off eBay and fitted it myself. I will try and take a photo tomorrow and post a pic for you. Sebby, it sounds like you have the aero kit spoiler which is a similar shape to the S spoiler but doesn't have a gap in the middle. For what it's worth I would say go for the S spoiler if you can get your hands on one. One thing to consider is that the aero spoiler simply glues on (with a kit, supplied) the S spoiler requires 2 small bits of drilling as well as sticky pads to fit (not as hard as it sounds, I managed it... ) Jonathan ![]() |

Offline | Sebby, yeah i'm considering going to my dealer and seeing if they've got examples of all three spoliers so i choose between them, then i'll try and get them to fit it. If the worst comes to the worst i'll buy the spoiler from somewhere seperate and fit it myself... One problem which stops me hot-footing it to my dealer first thing in the morning - i've got my thesis for uni to write!! ahhh i suppose thats what happens when you get your mini delivered (my mini is just 2 weeks old today!) and start buying aftermarket parts for it during the course of uni exams and thesis deadlines , lol!! god! how much i hate uni right now - its impacting on my mini-time lol! ![]() 2004 IB/IB MINI |

Offline | There's one going on ebay now for 50 quid 'buy it now' I think it's black but at that price it would still be worth getting and having it resprayed by the bodyshop your dealer uses. As for trying to get sympathy for having a mini at uni I had a battered old feista back then Keep working Jonathan ![]() |

Offline | chilime, plz plz plz tell me where you got those fantastic window stickers! I seriously love those stickers - just perfect for a mini. I realise that they may be from a dealer since they're mini branded and stylised..2004 IB/IB MINI |

Offline | Jonathon is correct with the S spoiler. I had mine removed by the dealer as part of my contract, at no cost and the spoiler returned to me. What they didn't realize, was to remove it, their own body shop wouldn't touch it unless they could remove the hatch completely, then the hatch glass (they didn't wan't the welder to go any where near the glass for fear of cracking it). The 2 holes were welded shut, the refinishing process was completed and the whole lot re-assembled. Keep this in mind, if you you decide that you don't like the S spoiler and in the future want to swap it. If I hadn't had it included in the contract price (or if they had have worked out the work involved) it would have cost me between A$1500 and A$2000. At least, if you don't like the glue on one's, they're easy to remove. Good luck |

Offline | I've got the chilli pack spoiler on my one, had it done long before the spoiler became an option for the One. No questions asked by the dealer, either Think there's pics in my gallery, i really need to update it! |

Offline | You're right - I got the stickers from my MINI dealer when I picked up the car. They gave me about 5-6 different ones as they had a box full of them. They seemed to put them in their demo cars. I would ask your local dealer ![]() |

Offline | Bare it maybe, but I prefer to call it "Cooperized". It's a S Works made to look like a Cooper. It's a great car to go 'hunting" in. Oh, by the way, it's the black one - only giveaway is the exhaust. As you can see, I added the chrome bumper trim and hatch lift and removed the spoiler and S badge. Other pics in my gallery show front and side changes. |

The all black one has a MCS spoiler. The black+white Cooper has the Cooper/One spoiler. No pictures of the aero-kit spoiler but is similar in size to the MCS, does not have such a pronounced wing and has no slot (solid) ![]() |
