Hi all.

Been reading all your posts for a few weeks now with envy. Green envy. Today I gave in to temptation and stopped off at my local dealer to finally sit in a Mini...which was a dangerous move, as I'm now even more convinced I need one. It would be wrong of me NOT to have one

I don't yet have a full idea of the spec, but know I want a ONE with the chrome bonnet grill and mesh. My only question to you gurus for now is about waiting lists - I know it's dealer-specific, and I'll speak to them on Monday - but how long will I be expected to wait? Ideally, in my fantasy world, I'd have it for April...is this completely unrealistic?

Hi Will,

Welcome to MINI2. And hopefully, welcome to MINI ownership!

I've got a One with the chrome pack and it looks great (pretty much like a Cooper, actually).

With regards to the waiting list, i'm not sure of the current wait but do shop around different dealers as when I did I managed to jump a whole month forward.

Anyway, happy shopping and don't worry about spending the money - it's worth it!

Looks brilliant, similar to what I want. I'm having a financial headache tonight - don't know what to do. Are you all lottery winners, or have you secured loans (rich aunts? loan companies?)

Lottery winner!! lol I'd be on a beach in the tropics not on here!

I sold my old car for £2000...saved £2000 and then taking out a £10k loan for 3 years (Halifax do a car loan, so do most major high street banks, its worth shopping around)......the way I see it ..Life is not a dress rehersal......so go for it!
