£100 darkened glass

Hiya,
I know that there is the £100 darkened glass and the £300 tints as options on a mini.
I have seen a £300 tint job, but not a £100 darkened glass.

What is the £100 darkened glass like (is it true it's only the back 3 windows?)? Anyone had it done on their mini, and is it worth doing?

Cheers,

Veronica

Hello Veronica, welcome to MINI2

The £100 tinted glass option from BMW is the back 3 windows, the tint isnt that dark, but does look classy.

The black MINI in the picture i have attatched has the BMW tints. Its not the best of pictures but its all i have on my work computer, try using the search option on this site as there has been previous posts about this.

I've not heard of a £300 tint option from MINI, i persume u mean, aftermarket tints I believe BMW are not aloud to tint the front windows by law now.

Hi,
Thanks for your reply.
My dealer gave me the option of the privacy darkened glass, or full tints for £300...and I saw an example of a cooper s which was just being delivered after having them (looked great!).

I think I may leave it for now....as it's something I can always do at a later date.

Thanks,

Veronica

Veronica,

With the £100 tints from BMW, the MINI actually has darkened glass not just the dark film as on aftermarket items. I would recommend the BMW option rather than the aftermarket tint film!!

Cheers for your reply.
No, by getting it done later, I didn't mean aftermarket.
The cooper S that I saw with the £300 tints was just being delivered after being sent away to have it done by BMW.
My dealer has said that it is something I can have done later on......would just be the inconvience of not having the car for a while.

Thats my mini, the blackun, doesent quiet look like that now, to think it was only about 3 weeks old in that pic, I really like the BMW tinted glass option, doesnt leave the white line round the window that aftermarket tints can sometimes do, plus for around £100 u could have the fronts done to match, heres a more recent pic for you
