Unhappy Creaky Seats.....?

Hello fellow MINI owners.....well pleased with my Red ONE, but have suffered from creaky seats for ages now....keep returning to dealer. They fix it and then after a few miles they start again. It's more of a plasticy creak than a mechanical one.....any ideas?

Do a search for creaky seats !
There has been numerous discussions about it.
My Cooper has done it for ages. The dealer has finally done something about it. It is not gone but better than before, so I'll hope it stays like this.

Seats

Hi ,glad to hear you are getting on ok with your Mini. My Mini ones seats have creaked from almost day one. I went back there and they ordered two new seats for my car. That was 6 months ago now and they still tell me they are on back order!

If she's not smoking she broken!

Well..

My dealer told me new seat frames have been ordered for my cooper. Might be taking a long time though.
Like I said, the creaking is less than it was but still quite annoying. AND the chair has to be positioned too high for my liking. In the lower position it still creaks a LOT.

Also my aircon's gone bust AGAIN. It's making a lot of noise, like an old fridge. And also the compressor makes a noise like the first turbo on a SAAB 900

GRRRRR !!

Mine creak as well - one thing i noticed is thatv if i move the chair back or forward it doesn't seem to click properly on one side ( not sure which) sometimes and clicks into place after a mile or so. The seat is secure but untill it clicks in it squeks worse than usual. Also noticed it creaks more in the cold. Maybe the seat frames are not suitable for the UK temperature range. Imagine what a Mini in siberia would sound like if this is the case. lol

Mine had the creaking seats, told the dealer along with the other things.Three weeks on and not a squeak from then, shame about the dash which rattles but never when the dealers got it.

Oh well thats life

Nothing beats a Mini
