Offline | Important message for ONE buyers Picked up my new ONE at the weekend (pics to follow!!), well happy with the car but disappointed with the interior trim. I had specified the salt pack and had assumed that it would come with silver trim. Mine came with gumetal trim which is tasteful, but looks a bit dark and drab compared with the silver. Dealer was very appologetic, turns out that about the time my car was being built MINI offered the choice of gunmetal or silver finishes with the Salt trim. So if you're getting the Salt pack with your ONE make sure you specifiy the trim colour, it saves disappointment later. My dealer is now going to swap all the dash and door trim to silver, but I'm a bit loathed to let them loose with my new car! |

Offline | Hi Ginger Picked our ONE up last Wednesday (24th April). I wasn't given the option of gunmetal or silver (we got silver which looks great). Your post got me rooting through my draw to find the price list brochure I was given by Sytners in February and it clearly states that the Salt Pack includes 'Brilliant Silver Interior Trim' and nothing about 'gunmetal'. Are you sure that 'gunmetal' isn't the standard ONE interior trim and they haven't forgotten to add the silver trim at the factory? |

Offline | Had the same problem in ordering my Cooper. Apparently there is the option to have Salt/Pepper without Silver Trim so you have to say you want it when ordering - basically like a no-cost option. I need new excuses to go for a drive ! |

Offline | I thought at first that it was a mistake from the factory, but the dealer assures me this is a recent option. It's a bit of pain because part of the reason I went for the Salt pack was the silver trim! I'm just waiting to hear when they can change the trim over. |

Offline | Nice Car Hi, Glad to hear that you have got your Mini at last. When my Dealer ordered my Mini One replacment they told me that you have to Specify which colour you want. Silver is the Deafult option, but unless you put it on the order form they can not garantee what it will come through with. Maybe I will see your car around, I only live at Bishops Stortford. If she's not smoking she broken! |

Offline | Got a phone call from the dealer yesterday telling me my One has arrived but with the anthracite dash instead of the bright silver both he and I thought we were going to get. I went to have a look at it but didn't like the colour which didn't look right as the rev counter is bright silver and to me it was a total mismatch. The dealer is now going to change all the interior parts for the bright silver and have assured me that the work will be done to the highest standards. It was either this or order a new one and wait 3 months which I didn't want to do as I was lucky with this one as he found it on the dealer network and did a dealer swap as it matched my required spec except for the multi play cd player which the dealer is putting in. Other than that it looked well cool and I can't wait to pick it up on the 10th. |

Offline | Cooper is going V well! Haven't heard anything from MINI, although Adam @ Specialist called to see how it was going. Just turned over to 600 miles today! May have to get some clear repeaters - I'll see if MiniSpares do them - may be cheaper than BMW. ![]() |
