Hi there!!

I test drove a ONE the other day, and have decided to save up for the little beasty!!

I wont be having one till March regestration, but my plans so far are as follows :-

silver (sorry Smiffy!)
Cooper 15" alloys
sports suspension
sports seats in panther cloth
ASC+T
salt package
TLC
chrome bumper bits etc.

As for the aftermarket stuff im hoping to get the cooper boot handle, chrome mirror covers, chrome side vents, clear lights all round, window tints, 18's, lowering springs, TV/PS2/DVD install, and colout coded plasic bitsand maybe the autofashion bodykit and cooper works conversion.

Will the Lowering spring invalidate any warrantys?!? also, does this apply to anyother after market bits i have listed!?

you are in the same boat as me then andy, I'm going to have to save up for a while too!

I'm going for a test drive on wednesday evening - did you get a good run during your test drive?

Its horrible waiting!!

The Mini was such a great car, better than my Mums IS200!!

The dealer I went out with (Whitehouse) booked me in for a ONE, Went out in that for about 40mins, U can have as long as u like really, an hour maximum I think, jst ask!!

After the ONE, the dealer took me out in a COOPER, pulled over and let me drive it (cos I wasnt down on the insurance!) so I got 2 test drives and he took me out in a freshly delivered 'S' - FUK ME there fast!!

Decided on the ONE, The COOPERs gearing is way to short and revvy - Which is nice, but I do loadsa Long journeys!! The ONE is a cruiser!

P/S - U may feel like ur driving a MPV at first, u feel quite high up, and the I nearly put the dealer thru the windscreen were the brakes are SO good!!

Went for my test drive this evening - was quietly impressed, spent 3 hours with the sales guy talking about cars until we realised the time!!

Hes going to talk to his boss and see if he can get me a good deal on trading in my 306, if he gets me the right money my mini could be on order before the end of the week!!

Hes gonna phone me tomorrow to let me know!!!!

Nice spec!! Although I think your going to spend the next few years saving up if your gonna have to save up for that car, spec and that huge list of mods!!!

the dealer just rang to say he got the OK from his boss to get me a free chrome grille!

As soon as I get my 306 sold I'm putting in my order - so if anyone in Northern Ireland knows someone who wants a turbo diesel 306 let me know
