Offline | First Mini Adventure Photos (56K Beware!) I got back from my first Mini Adventure (of the South West) last night and what an adventure it was! In 3 days we covered 688miles, crossing 9 counties, through blizzards, across roads with ice sheets and deep snow, up some of the steepest hills and biggest drops in Britain and we enjoyed every second! ![]() Sitting on Exmoor with the gales blowing past ![]() On the way to Bideford we hit yet another blizzard! ![]() Yep, it's snowing and with 70mph cross winds! ![]() The grilles and fog lights take the full force ![]() Looks cold out there! ![]() Yep that confirms it's freezing, time to get back in! ![]() We motored on along the "Atlantic Highway" to Bude and the weather turned for the better. "Atlantic Highway", give me a break, those road names only work in America! ![]() Taking in some rays.. ![]() The snow has turned to sand! ![]() That's gonna take some polishing! ![]() So that's... ![]() Oh dear, i've got my work cut out! ![]() Journeys End, the milo reminds me of the best 688.8mile adventure i've ever had! The Fuel Gauge reminds me how much I spent on Optimax |

Offline | Thanks for the nice comments Didn't really have a reason for my road trip, just thought i'd spend the weekend in the West Country and have a Mini Adventure .. Did the adventure over 3 days, 3 to 7 hours of pure fun driving each day. I can't wait for the next time! lol Poser, I wish Optimax was that economical but unfortunately the fuel gauge is showing my third tank.. Yep the "rally style" look will be gone after alot of TLC tomorrow, shame really but it'll be nice to see the red again! Hmm where next? The lake district me thinks, stay tuned... P.S. Mini drivers in the South West are very friendly, almost everyone I saw gave me a wave and flashed their headlights. |

Offline | Glad you flashed back, even if i didn't see - I had a load of boxes in the back, so rear vision was somewhat obstructed... ;-) I remebered your number plate 'CYA' - very cool. Keep it for when you can afford an S Works, will be very appropriate... btw, of course, you must have been travelling at a really low sensible speed, as i surely wasn't braking the speed limit. ![]() |
