Just wondering if anybody has had their Memory changed on the MINI ONE. As today my car went in for service and i asked if the could change the settings so that it would lock the doors after i start driving. They told me they tried but it wouldnt work on my model, he wasnt sure why but just said he thought it was only available on the cooper?.

And i asked him to change the remote to open the drivers door first with one press, thats has not happened either

Should my car be abled to me changed? i dont know?

The Manual does'nt say the mini one cant be changed ?

I think they are pulling your leg.......theres a good thread in here somewhere if you do a search......i think it details exactly what can be programmed......you could print it out, and show it to them.......

I also have the same problem, I was told my dealer needed a software update, but that didn't work.

I know its not just a problem with Mini Ones. In General Discussion someone with a Cooper is also having the same problems.

I tried getting my MINI Cooper's car memory changed just before I got the car (May 18th), however my dealer said they needed a software upgrade at their end because it wasn't working - their new disk came and my car went in today to have the memory done - it didn't work!!!! The service guy said early cars were fine, then there's been a few cars which couldn't be done and were told they needed this software upgrade (which hasn't worked). Apparently, the latest cars (last week or so) are fine. Told me I needed a new computer (BC1) and has got one on order. All covered by warranty. If this isn't the service you're getting, kick em up the arse

Fingers crossed, this should sort it.
