Offline | nos wont work unless its only a 20 horse shot, or you'd blow it up. the ONE engine internals are only machined and cant cope with stuff like that, thats y its so hard to turbo a one or cooper. the S internals are forged and can put up with a hell of a lot more. best starting place is a good chip (30 bhp), an awsum filter like the pierX viper (7bhp rr'd), and a gud zorst like a playmini or summut (5ish horse catbak). as for decats im not really sure u'll gain much if anything over a sports or racing cat besides the fact it will make bystanders ear bleed and cost u less! but manifold is defo a good plancams, cylnder head and throttle bodie work have the potential (when added to the basic list above) to take the one to the power of the S, and 200bhp is achievable in the ONE after serious investment, but obviously you'd need a new gear box, and a 200 bhp S will still wup u coz of the better torque. any1 no the power rating of the new ONE getrag?!?!? may as well buy an S, fit an Alta, a 15% pulley, a nice zorst and a superchip an b happy wiv the 200+ horse!!! ![]() ![]() HATED BY MANY...LOVED BY FEW...RESPECTED BY ALL |

Offline | I drove a MINI One (Petrol) a week after I drove a MINI Cooper, and the MINI One seemed quicker. They were both Courtesy cars with nearly 3000 miles on the clock. The Cooper seemed quicker to about 30-40mph, but above that it seemed strained. The One seemed to be pulling much better at 90mph than the Cooper, but it could have just been my bad memory. Perhaps they had put the chip in back-to-front in the Cooper, or they had down tuned it because it was a courtesy car!!! By the way, how do you put up with those noisey transmissions? It made my Diesel seem quiet! ![]() |

Offline | My early model ONE pulls like a train once she's wound up (4,500+RPM). No chip. No induction kit. No exhaust. Everything std. Heard a rumour that early build ONE's are not any different to early COOPER's. Apart from trim specs obviously. I see an "indicated" 125MPH on mine regularly. Looking forward to chipping it though in the not-too-distant-future. |

Offline | Find me a dyno n I'll have a good go ![]() Seriously, where do you go just to put your car on a dyno without having other work done? Do garages just offer you the service for labour charge or what? |
