Offline | normally chipping a non (turbo/super) charged engine is not terribly effective chipping my golf will take it from 204bhp to 216bhp-hardly worth it! but the mini one engine is a detuned version of the cooper.......... tuning a cooper is barely worth it but............ tuning a one does produce big gains AND bmw may never find out BUT if you crash and your insurance company finds out you're stuffed! but JFDI |

| FUN CARS | Chip the diff is very big when you chip a ONE , basicly they just take the limiter off the throttle and tune the timing etc, I had to use a rolling road to make sure everything was fine, if your not computer lit, get AMD to do it, they are very good. you will bring your ONE upto 120 - 125 BHP ull get 0-62 in around 9 secs on a good dry day. and you will hill climb a lot better a good test is the M25 there are a few up hill parts i could only do about 70-75 up but now sj will ease well over 100 up hill. dont ride your clutch, i belive gearbox was originaly designed for arround 125 bhp. so dont go any more than that without upgrading trans, iv done 30k miles and its been fine, OH AND RUN OPTIMAX FUEL, dont use **** super market fuel, oh and ur car my seem a little lively at 1st , give ur car time for the learning thing to adj. | MINI2 Regular | I'm also thinking about having it done, but after looking at the graphs available on the Superships website, does it really make much of a difference? My interpretation of them was the the bhp only increased dramatically when you got to the 5000 rpm region, which i almost never reach, therefore would it be no good for me? Can somebody explain please, because I'm probably talking rubbish! ![]() |

Offline | Hi, The difference is 30bhp and more torque. But... no where near the difference to a turbo car. Its really worth doing on the ONE. If you find someone like me with the software and hardware it will cost you about £40. but its often more convient to get the hardware yourself and will cost about £140. Doo it now! lol!
