Convoy to Northampton

For all whom are interested in convoying down to Northampton for the Charity Ball Run, on the 26th February 2005 - a Saturday.

I am planning to meet at Showcase / Mc Donald’s car park; it was used last year for many other runs - big car park and very close to the motorway, ideal location.

We will be travelling down to Northampton, straight to the meeting point;

Which is 140.0 Miles! So make sure you have a full tank of gas before we set off, we can arrange a fill-up half way if anyone is running a tad low. If you have radios bring them along we will be tuned in on Channel 1.

AutoRoute says it will take around 2 Hours to get there. The departure time for the run is 10:30pm Prompt, so should we meet at Showcase 8:00 and set off at 8:15? If that is ok with everyone else? I have attached the Run Notes curtsy of Soggy

Just a point of observation but I assume you are attending just for the AFTERNOON part of the run cos it actually starts in the morning

We will start st Sixfields in Northampton, just off J15a of the M1. There is a car park between Franky & Bennys and the UGC cinema that is failry empty at the weekend so we will congregate there. The route will finish at the Moat House Hotel, the Ball venue, in Northampton town centre. If you are not attending the Ball you can still come along for a post run drink at the bar afterwards.

Departure will be 10.30 am prompt. If you miss the start and want to join us later then you can head to the lunch stop at the Billing Mill, near billing Aquadrome http://www.pub-explorer.com/nhants/...ttlebilling.htm We should arive at Billing about 12.15 ish, leaving there at 1.30 prompt and finishing the run at 3.30pm.
