how about next year ....

a webcam link up online or a video recording booth where people go in an record messages- all u need is someone who trusts us and to donate there camera on a stand for the nite and a curtain or summit around.

and then make the videos available to buy and money goes to charity

The computer link was quite "last minute" if you know what I mean, and we thought about laptop/webcam etc... Although the hotel would loan us a laptop, we had to be charged quite a bit for using it, and we have to be responsible for it for the night.

None of us would want our own gear to be crowded by 150+ people, swigging their glasses over them. Hence, Paul and Lewis knocked up a link using bits and bobs, and a good job they did too

A webcam link is one of the things for consideration for next year, however, it depends on cost and practicality at the end of the day

The reason I did not attend

The fact that it was a ball to formal not into all that something less formal next time maybe.

We have lots of informal meets al lthe time, this is specifically a chance to let the ladies get their glad rags on and the gents to do their best Bond impressions, it was nice to see everyone scrubbed up for a change.

But some do not like to get a bow tie on so we did say it was ok for folks uneasy with it to just put a suit on , and a few did just that so don't think you'd be the only one It will never be a jeans and t-shirt affair though
