I am experiencing the same problem with only one side (passenger side) of the roof sliding back on my mini (dating 04/2005). I would like to fix it myself but I have not found any technical instructions.

I was wondering if you possibly could send me your 'guide' on how you fixed your convertible roof ? I've been searching the web for answers on mini one and broken roofs (only one side goes back - guessing cables snapped) and I found your post on this forum saying you've managed to fix it yourself. My mini one is out of warranty and been quoted nearly a £1000 for the repair and would to try and fix it myself.
