If I were you I would go back to the dealer. Take someone out to demonstrate the fault and insist it is fixed whilst still under warranty. My S does stutter once in a while when accelerating in 6th gear.

Ive looked at your profile and you seem a good person to get opinion from so here goes.
I bought a cooper s 2007 19,000 miles, 10 months ago from a dealership for £12,000(think i was done).Since then ive been back to the dealer at least 10 times.Faults include, timing chain fix 3 times and timing chain replaced,new steering rack,engine misfire , engine decoke.Got reciepts for work from BMW which came to over £5000.Now my car has started hesitating again when accelerrating from 50 to 70 in 6th gear.This has happened since i got the car and is what the decoke was supposed to fix.The warranty is running out soon and im sick of the car and worried im going to get stuck with huge bills in future.What would you do?
