Canada Convertible carseat in backseat of Mini

I've got a 4 1/2 month old, and so-far-so-good with my Mini. I REALLY don't want to get rid of it, but I'm worried that when he moves into the rear-facing convertible seat (he's in the infant carseat right now that just pops in and out) it will be very difficult for me to get him out! How do the rest of you do it? He is in the backseat on the passenger side- do I have to get him out the driver's side? Also, is there a carseat that is available in Canada that you recommend will fit in the Mini well? I've heard the Cosco Dorel Alpha Omega is the best... Let me know what you all think!!

In Australia we have a car seat called a Turn-a-Tot made by Secure. They are a French company, and if they sell them into Aus I can't see why they wouldn't sell them in Canada.

As far as I'm aware they are unique in that they swivel in the rearward facing position making it MUCH easier to get little ones out. HEre is a photo of it partially turned. Maybe do a local search on it.

I realised later that I have a good picture of it in our MINI. You can see the red button you press to spin it around.
