Offline | isofix group 1 seats Just went to buy a maxi cosi priorifix, and they looked up the mini on the maxi cosi website and it says it won't fit. The Britax website didn't even list the mini. Anyone tried either of these? As we have isofix points it seems daft to get a car seat that straps in. We might go and try the official mini one, but I'm not sure about that thing that goes across the legs rather than a harness. ![]() |

| short, fat, hairy legs | Best advice is go to a store and try fitting these seats in the car, as a list is useless for accurate information. Every car varies with interior options and production materials, so the only true way of knowing which Isofix seat fits your car is to get out and try it ![]() I'd go for the Britax seat personally if it fits ![]() I didn't mean it ![]() |

Offline | We are also starting tothink about a group 1 car seat . Poppy is about 10months and will be soon out growing her Maxi cosi cabrio. We'd really appreciate any recommendation for a 2005mini convertible with leather. |

| Flying Scotsman | ...sorry for not giving you the answer you want, but I would definately go to a shop and ask what they recommend and can demo in your car. I have tried a few seats and due to the shape of the mini seat, found that a good fit is not easy. In the end, we dont use the mini fo rthe seat... but thats not an answer. The other thing re isofix is that mini is listed, but I would check your seats to ensure they are fitted... many are not! I think you found that isofix is only *really* for group 1... so thats not an option I guess. The other option is to surf the manufacturers websites and email them for confirmation. They will only issue info they *know* is true and has been tested... Best of luck! DJ |

Offline | Only recently got my PS/B cooper and as i have a 2 year old little girl i looked into the car seat maze. I did loads of searches/reports and all results pointed to the Britax ELITE. The only problem is that Britax discontinued this model end of last year however various Halfords and local shops had a few left in stock. My advice is find one and even if you dont need one yet, buy it! It was the only one listed on Britax website as suitable for the mini and it fits a treat, its not isofix but it is rock solid when strapped in correct. |
