Yellow Cooper Maxi Cosi Car Seat Birth+ Mini Cooper 2003 Build

Hi there,

Does the maxi cosi car seat from birth fit in the back of a mini cooper 2003 build? Baby's due in 3 months and we though we better start thinking about prams etc.

I like this car seat 'cos it can be used with the Quinny Zapp - which we're keen to get.

I've had a look at some of the other posts on this forum so I think you can use this with newer builds, because they have the iso fix thing, but I don't think I've got these in my car?

Thanks.

If its the same Maxi cosi Cabrio fix, yes it fits fine in any mini. We used one with the Isofix Easyfix base, you can use the seat with out or with the non-isofix base though.
We had a Quinny Buzz which went in the boot of our old MCS fine.
Now got a Clubman.

Best way to know is to go to a shop and get an expert to try it there for you, cars vary from model to build year, to how they've been used and you can't say YES or NO without trying it in the actual car its to be used in

The only problem I have is knowing which one to drive?

If its a BMW mini, the Maxi cosi will fit with either with an IsoFix or non Isofix easyfix base. I Spent alot of time researching this!
Have fitted the seat I had in a R53, R56 and R55. So all BMW minis are fine. My friend has the same Maxi Cosi seat in his 53 MCS with the non isofix easyfix base.

But as Rakey says though, get to the shop and you can try them out. You will probably know more than the Mothercare staff if you were anything like me when researching Baby gear!

I reccomend the Quinny Zapp too along with the larger Buzz.

yeah should have add that, go to someone knowledgeable, and that doesn't always mean Mothercare.

Ask when they last went on a training course with either Britax or Maxi Cosi, as that will let you know how informed they are

I have a May 03 build Mini and we have a Maxi Cosi seat it fits very well. We tried several versions int the shop - The Pram Centre in Glasgow - and it was the best. We got the Quinny Buzz to go with it and it fitted in the boot. The Buzz seemed the best option because you had so many options and it was easy to change between them.
