Offline | Talking of Haynes manual, I see they give this reason why they dont do a new mini one: "We have no plans to publish manuals for this vehicle at this time. This may be because the model range has not sold in sufficient numbers and we can't consider doing a manual until there is enough of a particular model on the road for us to be sure of covering our costs." |

| MINI2 Senior | Curt, I wouldn't call the ones I have had "rubbish". The one for my Explorer is pretty good and fairly thorough. I wouldn't totally disagree with your reasoning on why there is not one available, but when you only have a market of somewhat over 30,000 or so vehicles in the U.S. at this point, wouldn't be a big seller for them. I would still love a manual though. Dave Gotten anything useful from MINI2? How about giving a little something back? '03 MCS BRG/W Anthracite Pkg 1,2,3 |

| MINI2 Senior | Agreed - for perspective - Haynes: about $9.95 to $14.95; 1/2 inch. Ford Factory Manual: $99.95; two volumes, 8 inches. You get what you pay for. And when I need the Ford manual, I go to my friend's house, cuz he paid for it! ![]() Dave Gotten anything useful from MINI2? How about giving a little something back? | MINI2 Global Moderator | I have always found Haynes manuals to be very useful. I remember reading somewhere that each book is written by completely dismantling the car and then re-assembling it. This would explain why they haven't done the MINI yet. What it doesn't explain is how they wrote the 'Baby' and 'Man' books! ![]() the MINI has gone... |
