Has anyone actually got a Maclaren Mac3? the dimensions on the website seem to indicate that it might just get in the boot with a squeeze...

Also what do people reckon on the Recaro Sports baby seats? any good? or just a marketing gimmick?

Edit: Oh and where is there a good place to view and chat to knowledgable people about baby seats and things. Mothercare seems a bit useless.

Not sure on the Mac3 and if it fits, but let me know if you try one in there.

Best car seat on the market is the Maxi Cosi Prior range of seats, really comfy, easy to fit, and stylish too.

Best place for advice is an Independant retailer or John Lewis.

Have you seen the Mutsy Urban Rider? Looks very interesting and fits Maxi-Cosi seats. Are any of those Maxi-Cosi seats ISOfix?

We went and tried one, no way on earth that was going to fit with seats etc. all in place.

I thought it would, but no.

skip the stroller and just use a baby bjorn.

seriously, though, infant seats fit fine. the bigger, rear facing (like the britax roundabout) are more difficult, but once you turn them around (front facing) there is plenty of room.

Whereabouts did you look at them? The mothercare down here has a very limited stock.

We've got a local baby place near us that sells all sorts of brands, looks like a barn from the outside, but very good.

I can see if I can find details.

I know there is an independant not far from Brighton, that is where you want to go, its in the yellow pages, but for the hell of me I can't remember the name of it or the town it is in as it was sometime ago I was down that way, they were great when I went there then. SOrry couldn't remember more than that.
