We've been fine with the Aria, I walk at least three times a week across fields and "off road" with no bother.
I look at it why compromise most of the time, for the few times you might need something bigger.
That's why I drive a MINI and hire a white van if ever we need to do any hauling, and don't drive a big MPV every day for the once or twice a year we could do with more storage.
Point taken Paul... now here is the number to explain that to my hormonal wife ..... 07973......
Oh, and she is a wannabe surfer and we go to UK beaches a lot in the summer (how does the Aria do on the beach?) ....however, I doubt she will be surfing this year
if you are worried about three wheelers round town, suggest you get one that has a lockable swivel wheel rather than the maclaren three wheeler, also on the that be careful you don't over load it, or you might find the rear wheels bow outwards due to the way it folds (similar to a golf bag trolley).
due to the weight distribution towards the back and the 3 wheels you will find the turning even easier with a 3 wheeler than some 4 wheelers
But its all horses for courses, everyone has their personal tastes, needs and requirments, then it comes to colours and brand loyalties etc...
My favourite buggy at the moment has to be Buggaboo Frog, its just really
Saw Gwenneth on the telly out and about in London using hers the other night.
Too bad it won't fit in the MINI
Still regreting not being able to get a Silver Cross Compact instead of the Aria but with the horrible exchange rate (for us) and the fact that they are not exported to the USA the Compact would have cost well over twice as much as the Aria...still it's damn nice looking little number. Oh well
I am quite surprised that Jane Matrix Travel system has not been mentioned here! We got one of those and very pleased about it.This is one of the best under the sun!Only worry is to fit it in the boot.
we got a kidzkargo buggy, it fits in the boot with space for other stuff too, don't have to fold down seats or parcel shelf, or take wheels off the buggy (good thing they don't come off anyway!). Its ok for babies as well as it lays down flat. And its got a huge shopping basket underneath!
Having bought a MINI after sproggs had arrived we already had push chairs, double buggy etc and yep it is a bit of a problem as the Graco double buggy and mothercare single buggy that we have are far too big to fit without folding down the seats. We borrowed an old Mclaren umbrella type buggy from some freinds though and it does fit in the boot without folding the seats down providing you remove the parcel shelf. Not ideal but then we don't use the MINI very often for family days out as we have an MPV as well. Having said that we did go to the Mini Cooper day at Beauleiu yesterday and took the buggy in the boot of the MINI plus picnic stuff, nappy changing kit etc. Fortuneately sprogg No 1 is now big enough at 3 years old not to need a pushchair.
We have the Mac 3 Maclaren 3 wheeler. It will fit in the boot without having to remove the front wheel. You have to unclip the canopy but that is all. This is without having to remove the parcel shelf !!
