Bugaboo Frog - Paltrow problems!

Abi told me about this last week, just found the story online, although the other version said it was 1/2 an hour and they were using the manual while they struggled!?

"Stroller derby
Passers-by had quite a laugh watching Gwyneth Paltrow's assistant and security guard trying unsuccessfully to figure out how to set up little Apple's $900 baby buggy outside a restaurant in London.

Eyewitnesses say the two tinkered with the darned thing for nearly 20 minutes before Gwyneth's assistant finally phoned the actress, who was inside waiting, to ask how it worked."

What kind of buggy costs $900
Does it have tinted, bullet proof glass or something?

Gotta admit though that the one we had I could put up fine. Breaking it back down was just sad. Got the wife to did it most times.

I test drove a Bugaboo Frog in John Lewis on Thursday. (£479 excluding accessories).

My impressions are that when the small wheels are at the front, the size of the wheels means that it can't cope too well with bumps and potholes. Also there is too much slack when pushing it around and this means that it could be tiring. By slack I mean that the pram frame is too loose and floppy. It's the joints and hinges that make it less rigid.

this buggy is the buggy of the film stars - there was an article a few days ago in the press showing 4 celebritys who all use them (can't remember the others )

On bumpy streets the handle flips over and the big wheels are supposed to go in front...designed to go either way. Surprised you didn't find it rigid...seem quite sturdy to me.

Mines still in a box so there hasn't been much road testing I must admit.

Ah! I didn't realise that the handle flipped. And the zombie of a sales assistant didn't tell me either.

We're using a Mamas and Papas Twin Aria (Peg Perego) and any other stroller/buggy seems so floppy after using it.

the Frog is one of my fav products has been for the last 4 years when I first saw it in Koln.

If I was in the market for a buggy, this would be one on my list to buy, its very cool, and excellently engineered.

As with any pushchair, those not familiar with it should not be left to try and figure it out, they should be shown the user guide or guarantees are invalidated and products can get broken by these monkeys without a clue This is written into most products manuals and purchase agreements.

Its only a forum you know!

We'll have a single Aria for the MINI so I'll be able to give a good review in a couple months.

UK parents may want to compare the Aria to the Silver Cross Compact (not imported here but looks great in the pics). Designed with the help of baby-stroller genius I'm told

I want to get the frog but fitted with Bilstein HDs. I might also go for larger rims and lower profile tires -- I think there are some Honda rims that fit with an adapter. Is there a cupholder option?
Anyone fitted Whalens on the handles yet?

The larger rims and lower profile tyres spoil the ride and make Baby's cheeks wobble uncontrollably. Also the cupholder only takes weedy british cans and not SuperMegaQuartBigSlurpee sized cups. And I'd wait until July when the facelift model comes out.
