Offline | UK Convertible and Kids/Toddlers Hi Sorry, Im a man of few words. I have been thinking of a rag top as opposed to tin.. Convertible and kids. Does anybody with family have one yet? Whats the score? The back seats look small, I assume a BMW seat will still fit but will the aftermarket ones? And the boot looks tiny. Will any pushchair things fit? Cheers, I have a toddler who is buggy free and a new one on the way soon who will need seat and wheels. I was wondering if anything will fit in the passenger footwell if I have them both in the back. d |

Offline | The BMW seat fits (ISOFIX) (0+) but it's tight. Our Maxi-Cosi Priory XP fitted tight as can be, really well in place. BUT it was a bit too tight in place to adjust more than a couple of clicks (four positions to lay the baby back, couldn't do it, just two). Roll over protection would be a concern in any Convertible for me. Our mamas and papas Aria doesn't fit (it goes in sidewards), but I'm told Silvercross supply a seat that folds down and should fit, even with the parcel shelf down in "summer" mode. |

Offline | I bought the BMW isofix seat for £280! it fits very snugly to both the front and rear seats. Unfortunetly the front does not have isofix. The other children have simple booster seats which seem OK. The seat seems to mark the leather-but i don't think these marks are permanent. You will want your child in the front if carrying one child because you will want the wind deflector in. My children adore the convertible. Make sure you specify keyed airbag deactivation (a bargain at £30). I don't thing rollovers will be any more of a problem than a normal car but for this reason alone i would (and did) bite the bullet and buy a BMW seat. I suspect getting a buggy etc. in the boot would be practically impossible (though loading the skip with the roof down onto the back seats is very very easy). |

| Looking good in MOC | UKdavvy I would be very interested if you find any pushchairs or travel systems which fit in the cabrio boot. Just found out we have another one on the way and pick the MOC up in 4 weeks. Got everything crossed in the hope it's not twins otherwise i'll be looking for a bigger car come february. ![]() ![]() |

Offline | Baby and Soft top Its no problem at all. Just got a cooper Soft top and my 2 year old daughter thinks it is great. Always wanting the roof down. We got a new Isofix seat the same day we picked up the car. Its a Britax Duo Plus Isofix. £170. Honestly, its a perfect fit. Just the right height for the rear head rests which cannot be moved and it is totally solid when in the back. The dark grey / black seat looks part of the car. Give me a shout if you want any photo's |

Offline | We've got a baby on the way - due May, and will be shopping for a buggy for our MCC - will let you know if I see anything (or if you could do the same, I'd be grateful). We've also got a Mitsibushi Spacewagon, so am just looking for a lightweight stroller that collapses. Also got a CD changer in the boot. Will be looking from next week (don't get the MCC until then ) |

Offline | I hope it is OK to resurrect an old thread, it seemed better than starting a new one. I'm looking for a stage I/II seat for a Cooper S convertible (Recaro leather seats pack). As is is our second car our son is not in it that often so I would ideally like an ISOFIX system where I can leave the base in an take the seat out quickly when not needed. That way I can have my wind deflector and the roof down when I'm by myself. I am thinking about the Recaro Young Expert Plus (with ISOFIX base). Does anybody know if it fits the rear seats in my MINI? Other options are the BMW Junior Seat I-II. The picture on the website doesn't show the ISOFIX, is it a separate base or part of the seat (in which case it wont be easy to take out)? Finally there is the MaxiCosi Priofix. The ISOFIX base for this seems to be quite tall, does anybody know if it fits under the wind deflector? I'm also open to other ideas. I'm in Australia but coming back to the UK soon, where there are vastly more options. Thanks. |

Offline | I can recomend the Quicksmart stroller/buggy, it folds down VV small and fits into the footwell, so the boot doesnt need using. Can't comment on seats though, aint had to do it as we sold our mini just as our little'un came along, think I might be tempted soon though ![]() ![]() |
