I know the car seat question has been asked many times on this board, but I haven't seem to have found any information regarding infant car seats that are available in the US that fit the Mini. Does anyone have any insight? I'm due in April, and we have no idea as to which one we need to buy that will fit rear facing?

Hey Rochelle...congratulations

I think your best bet is a Peg Preggo Primo Viaggio infant car sea with the latch system (isofix). They do fit in the MINI (although to be honest our 6 month old outgrew his before we actually ever used it in my MCS).

It is a nice seat...and it works as a "travel system" with the only US spec baby stroller that fits in the MINI boot...the Peg Prego Aria.

Note...there are at least 2 non-US spec strollers that fit in MINIs, 1) The Silver Cross Compact and 2) the Quinny Zapp...but you would have to "import" them yourself and be willing to use a "world-spec" product. Either seem way nicer than the Aria.

I didn't really try using the seat in the MINI beyond proving it fit but my memory is moving the car seat in and out was not super-easy. Try one in your car before you purchase one for sure.
