Hi i have purchased a jane slalom 3 wheeler pram and have read that is does fit in the boot, but what is all the negative reveiws about the car seat as i have also bought the matrix car seat my baby is due in May?
Does it not fit the mini? or is it just a bad design? i have a 53plate mini cooper s.

We have the matrix and it fits OK it the MINI horizontally and vertically. The slight rise in the centre seat means it doesn't quite lay flat in horizontal mode but this isn't much different to other cars I've tried it in.

It's a takes a little practice to get the seat in (espically with your new born in before fastening!) so get lots of practice before he/she arrives.

Good Luck

P.S. We have the powertrack 360 and it fitted in the boot fine it just took up most of the space

Hi..

Did you manage to fit the Powertrack in the boot with the parcel shelf still in place? I've got a Powertrack and it's never crossed my mind to try and fit it in the MINI. I guess you need to take all the wheels off?

yes it does fit with the parcel shelf in, I think you only had to remove one wheel though (the one nearest the parcel shelf). (I say think as sadly I've sold the MINI :-( )

It is worth bearing in mind I have the powertrack 360, not just a powertrack (it has a swivel wheel) it might be the swivel makes all the difference.

If you are using this car seat then you are best to use it in the sitting position (ie not flat across the back of the car). I believe RoSPA /the Consumers Association (Which) have some concerns about this seat. I've seen a crash test video showing that when used in the flat position the baby is not held in the seat and could be injured.

Correct, the lie flat position is very questionable. I work with one of the leading figures in Car Safety, who also consults for ROSPA, he is not a fan of it, and neither am I due to the lie flat position.

The only problem I have is knowing which one to drive?
