I posted a general question in Interior/ICE, but I just realized this might be a more relevant forum. My wife and I prefer cloth seats and have spec'ed it for a MCSC, where (for USA) it is offered only in space grey. How well would the color and material fare with a 6 year old in the back seat? Should we simply give up hope of keeping it clean, and order an accessory seat cover (available from MINI)?

I have the very same situation (well until my new motor arrives at the beginning of September).......Space cloth is hard wearing from a "stain resistance" point of view. My 6 yr old boy, eats in the car with no ill effects to the upholstery.......anything that does find it's way onto the seats comes off with a wipe from a damp cloth.
