Offline | London MINI2ers, I need some help (about scale models)!!! A friend of mine is going to London in a couple of weeks. I like collecting car models, and I would like to ask him to buy a 1:43 scale MINI for me. I'm looking for the sort that you find in MINI dealerships. They were available in here, but not anymore. Help me! I need to know which London MINI dealer has a good selection of MINI scale models, in order to tell my friend to go there and get me one! It would be better if the dealership is located close to a tourist area. If these models are easier to get in a specialized model shop, I would also appreciate if you tell me the address and/or phone number. Maybe, a website too??? I'll be checking this thread for your responses! Thanks amigos!!! ![]() Last edited by DeadCanDanceR : Apr 28th, 2006 at 11:31 PM. |

Offline | I have no idea if any dealerships will have these models but MINI Park Lane is probably the most central of dealerships! MINI Park Lane |

Offline | Where in London is he going. its one of the biggest cities so we need to narrow it down, i can think of dealers off the top of my head, theres park lane, one in canada water by financial district, my local one in harold wood. get him/her to check out hamleys on oxford/regent/bond street, one of the biggest toy shops around, way better than fao schwarz imo. they have like 50 grand electric toy ferraris there for kids so im sure theyll have a lot of mini things. |

Offline | Thanks Jackie and Karl!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() My friend hasn't decided where he is going to stay. But he told me that he is looking for something maybe around the Royal Albert Hall area. I'll let you know when he decides where is he staying! I'll tell him of that toy store that you've mentioned. It sounds like a good alternative if he's unable to find these models at the MINI dealerships! However, I hope that he finds the models offered by MINI (the kind that appear on their website). Thanks for your help! ![]() |

Offline | The area around the Albert Hall will be perfect (but expensive?). Easy access to Knightsbridge, South Kensington, Hyde Park, Oxford Street etc etc. Not to mention MINI Park Lane ![]() Global Moderator ![]() |

Offline | Sounds good for him, he likes expensive hotels! Isn't Knightbridge where Harrod's is?He has also mentioned about staying close to a very trendy, gay street (or area?) that he visited the last time he went to London. But I forgot the name! I will ask him again when I see him! Thanks (gracias) Karl! ![]() ![]() |

Offline | I was just going to add that of course there is Harrods on Knightsbridge!! Why not mail Harrods Julio and see if they stock such items?? Harrods can order in anything they don't already have so perhaps you could order something for collection or even get them to mail to you? Silly question but have you Googled?? |

Offline | There is a very good model shop in Bluewater, which if I remember correctly is the biggest shopping mall in Europe and only about 30 mins train ride from London. It has numerous Mini models along with hundreds of other cars plus the added bonus is, you can do all your other shopping in the same place, has all the other Oxford Street stores apart from Selfridges and of course Harrods, which is not in Oxford Street, but there again there is only one Harrods, which means they tend too be overpriced IMO, unless of course your just after their carrier bag ![]() |

Offline | I went to the parklane showroom couple of weeks ago to order my MCS and from what i remember they had at least 3 different scaled down minis, in addition i saw some scalelectric mini stuff. If that doesnt work out prob should try Hamleys (Regent Street), which is the biggest toystore in UK and they have a LOT of downscale models.hope u find what u need kimoss |
