I recently received in the mail a MINI magazine and official merchandise catalog. I was wondering, does anyone actually buy this stuff?

Some of it is 'cute' but I though a lot of it was gimmicky trash.

Your poll doesn't have a bought some and given some option.

I was given the usual stuff, keyrings,rubber mats etc etc but I also bought the watch (I collect watches also (anorak on!)

whats the magazine like? not got it here in uk yet (and the bmw owner mag doesn't have much about minis in it)

I think most of it is a bit overpriced, but I may still go back and buy the MINI cuckoo clock.

I bought the watch about a year ago - broke the strap after about 2 weeks but managed to mangle it back into something resembling a clasp.

Still looks pretty cool - apart from the fact that you can't tell what hour it is whenever it's half past the hour because the hand is in front of the hour display

Dealer sent a coffee mug, with MINI logo, that actually fit into the cup holder, an offical MINI journal, and a pen with a cute MINI inside that moves.

I bought a MINI baseball cap.

My wife bought me a black fleece pullover, and my dealer gave me floormats and a baseball hat. I'm thinking about getting the pen set for work.

Dealer gave me two pens and keychains. He also threw in the rubber floor mats "for free" (the car didn't come with any floor mats). I was looking to buy the CD case, but they didn't have any.

I bought the MINI sunglasses, which I like a lot - I needed a good pair anyway and I liked the style of the MINI ones.

The clock is a lot of fun, a nice feature is that you can turn off the side car that comes out, and also adjust the sound to low or high. I wish it had a "silent" feature though so I could leave the car coming out without sound.

I plan to buy more stuff later, I really like some of the clothing.

Let's see, 15 baseball caps, the CD case, a pen set, 2 ballpoint pens, a mouse pad, the cool mug that fits the cup holders. Not to mention the windscreen shade, floor mats, boot mat, boot net, valve stem caps. I think that about covers it. FYI, the CD case is very cool. It holds 20 in a case size that normally holds about ten. In my old car I used a case that held the jewel cases, however in the MINI with 4 passengers there just isn't much room for it. Also, the mug is very useful. It has an orange top which doesn't thrill me, but I have already enjoyed many different types of beverages in it. I guess that is more than two!

I bought the little Osram lamp that fits in the lighter socket. It did not come with a mini logo, but the dealer even discounted the price.
