Offline | Nope not a mistake, just a special one. They do it with other makes and models, not just with the IJ ones. Here's what I dug up: A Johnny Lightning White Lightning is a highly sought after rare variation of Johnny Lightning production diecast scale vehicle. They are produced at the rate of 1% of the production run (plus or minus 10%) and are randomly packaged into the cases shipped to retailers. Finding one in a retail store is a real stroke of luck! It is also hard to obtain them from us on-line because most of them sell the same day. It does not necessarily have to be "white" to be a White Lightning. You may find one that has only a white chassis or perhaps the body is white or the wheels will say "White Lightning." Johnny Lighting has created newer packaging which is less obvious and heightens the thrill of the hunt. Be very quite I'm hunting minis. ![]() ![]() |

| Outlaw | My Collection of 1:64 Minis Just realized I never posted my collection of MINIs as I said I would... Sorry for the confusion on the White Lightnings but wanted people to know about them in case you wanted something special in your collection.. I pretty much collect only one scale of MINI and that is 1:64th I collect Matchbox as a hobby and have thousands literally but will collect any MINI in that same scale. Here is my collection so far.. |

Offline | I paid £9 for my first white one - not got white wheels, so it's not one of the super rare ones! Still I'm quite happy they're great models, and much more acurate than the Corgi ones. G ![]() |

Offline | Bought 3 of the clown cars. The bodies pop right off. Drill out the rivet that hold the ugly green windshield on and then strip off the paint. Repainted one for me and one for my daughter. Now if I just had a way to color that ugly yellow plastic.......... |
